General Trip Questions

Q: What is included in the cost of my trip?
A: Your trip includes fishing licenses, rods, reels, bait, tackle, cooler space, ice, and water. For fishing trips, fish cleaning is also included for any kept catches.

Q: What forms of payment do you accept?
A: Payments are due at the end of your trip. We accept cash, checks, and Venmo.

Q: Do I need to leave a deposit?
A: No deposit is required—just call and book your trip!

Q: Can I bring alcohol on the boat?
A: Yes, alcohol is allowed, but please avoid bringing glass containers for safety reasons.

Q: Is there a maximum number of passengers?
A: Fishing trips can accommodate up to 6 passengers, except for Tarpon trips, which are limited to 3 passengers. Sightseeing and sunset trips can also accommodate up to 6 passengers.

Fishing Trip Questions

Q: What should I bring for a fishing trip?
A: Bring hats, sunglasses (polarized preferred), sunscreen (lotion or roll-on), snacks, drinks, and non-skid shoes.

Q: Can I bring my own fishing gear?
A: Yes, you’re welcome to bring your own fishing poles. Just let Captain Jarrod know in advance.

Q: What happens to the fish we catch?
A: If you decide to keep your catch, Captain Jarrod will clean it for you at the end of the trip. Catch-and-release is also an option for those who prefer it.

Q: What species of fish can we expect to catch?
A: The species vary by season, but common catches include snook, redfish, trout, snapper, grouper, Spanish mackerel, and even tarpon during May and June.

Sightseeing & Sunset Trips Questions

Q: What can I expect to see on a sightseeing trip?
A: Expect to see a variety of wildlife, including dolphins, manatees, sea turtles, and numerous bird species, as well as scenic views of Anna Maria Island’s waterways.

Q: How long are sightseeing and sunset trips?
A: Both trips are 2 hours long, with sunset trips departing 2 hours before sunset.

Q: Can we extend the sightseeing trip?
A: Yes, additional time can often be arranged. Please discuss this with Captain Jarrod when booking.

Pickup Location Questions

Q: Where is the main pickup location?
A: The main pickup location is the Holmes Beach Boat Ramp at 6398 Marina Way, Holmes Beach, FL.

Q: Can you pick me up at my rental?
A: Yes, in many cases, Captain Jarrod can arrange dockside pickups directly from your rental if it has water access. Contact us to confirm.

Q: How early should I arrive at the pickup location?
A: Please arrive at least 15 minutes before your scheduled departure time.

Weather & Cancellation Questions

Q: What happens if the weather is bad on the day of my trip?
A: Safety is always the top priority. In the case of inclement weather, Captain Jarrod will either reschedule your trip or issue a refund.

Q: Can I cancel or reschedule my trip?
A: Yes, cancellations or reschedules can be arranged. Please provide as much notice as possible to allow us to accommodate other guests.
